You can define predefined work item required skills on a work item templates and/or project tasks.

In case when you create a work item from a work item template and select a project task and they both have required skills defined, a work item will have all the skills defined on them both defined under the required skills.To define work item required skills on a template

- Open a *Project Task card.
- In the Required Skills field, enter the required skills for a resource in order to be able to work on work item where this project task is selected.
